Benediction released a new demo called “Wake Up” on the demo party “Revision” in Saarbrücken. It is a trakmo, which also features nice effects and great music, so be sure to download it from Pouet.net (don’t forget to vote for it) or at the end of this posting.
UPDATE: The demo was converted to Youtube, so you can view it without an emulator.
The Hugi discmag issue number 37 was released. As always, it features a lot of english articles about the demoscene and like in Hugi #36, Optimus also wrote a nice article about the CPC scene in the years 2010 and 2011. You can download it from the Hugi discmag page.

Optimus of Dirty Minds released the final version of his Wolfenstrad demo (graphics by Voxfreax and music by Sice). It features a raycasting engine like in the good old id Software ego shooter. You can also move manually in the labyrinth. Wolfenstrad was developed in a mix of SDCC C code and Z80 assembly. Be sure to download it and vote for it on Pouet.net.

Push’n’Pop, the Amstrad CPC scene page, asked their members for a vote to create charts of the best productions, etc. for the last year. And here are the results (as you can see, mostly french sceners voted – water and wine are on top in the ‘top drinks’ list

Matahari from turkey released his first demo for the CPC. It is a scroller in overscan which features 50 Hz hardware scroll, overscan, all 27 colours of the CPC and this all within 256 bytes. You can download it from Pouet.net and don’t forget to vote for it!
