As already promised, the enhanced version of Rick Dangerous for the CPC Plus series by BDCiron, Fano and MacDeath was released today. Go and download it at the end of this article or from the [[Rick dangerous 128+|CPC Wiki]] and have a lot of fun with it during christmas :-).

An extended Amstrad Plus version of the game Rick Dangerous is currently under development by Fano, BDCiron and MacDeath. It will be released this year and is currently in the final testing stage.

This are the features of the new Plus version:

  • the famous digitalised ‘Whhhaaa’ sample at 15Khz
  • Full levels from 16bits versions (special THX to bigorno)
  • Cutscenes with graphics from Amiga version
  • Musics from Atari ST version
  • New graphics
  • And some surprises…

[UPDATE:] The game will be released on Xmas.

    OFE has released a new demo called “KillMAX” on the Amstrad Expo 2009. The demo needs a Amstrad CPC Plus with 128k RAM. You can download it from Cpcscene.com.

    Arnaud STORQ released the second part of his PHAT demo for the Amstrad CPC Plus, called – surprise, surprise – PHAT 2 ;-). This time it is not written in C but in good old Z80 assembly language. You can download the demo from his homepage.

    Hey, another Amstrad Plus demo (needs at least 128k RAM) is there and this time it shows that it is possible to write a demo with C (the Z88dk compiler was used to program this demo). You can download the demo from Cpcscene.com .
    If you also want to program with C for the CPC you can read this programming guide.
