Push’n’Pop, a demoscene related website for the Amstrad CPC, is down since christmas. It seems that they had a server crash and were unable to bring back the website, so it will be closed forever. That are very sad news, because they hosted a lot of intersting discussions in the forums, scene related interviews, news, the Push’n’Pop awards, meeting announcements and meeting reports. So thank you for your work over the last years.

  1. Is it possible to contact the maintainers of the site?

  2. The reason for the site being off line is that the makers of it are tired of wasting time for consumers-only. They decided to use their time for CPC projects. In brief, they are doing instead of talking. Good luck to you guys, can’t wait to see your next prod.

  3. Hi TFM,
thanks for the information. But why did they delete the page and removed the (in my opinion) important content? Until they will upload a backup or revive the page, the content will be lost (the interviews, meeting reports and pictures and some very rare files. Still a sad movement for the CPC users :-(.

  5. @Octoate, I didn’t ask one of the maintainer (I had more contact with) about this detail, because somehow they got a bit ‘pissed off’ and I didn’t want to put the finger in the would. But there are way back machines and also I’m relatively sure they got copies of the content. I don’t konw if it would make sense to ask them for content to ‘save it’ maybe on your great homepage. But a try can’t be wrong 🙂
