ZX81 released a new port of his Amstrad CPC emulator, which is originally based on Caprice32, for the Dingoo A320 handheld. The port is based on the latest version of Gp2x-Wiz.

And that’s what ZX81 improved over the original Caprice32 emulator:

  • Cheat support
  • Memory monitoring engine to find your own cheat code
  • Text editor to modify the global cheat.txt file
  • Text editor to write your own comments on games
  • Display first comment line while browsing game files
  • Auto disk startup support
  • Save state in gzip format
  • etc, etc …

Another emulator update by ZX81. He released new versions of his Amstrad CPC emulator, which is based on Caprice, for the Gamepark GP2x and the Gamepark Wiz. So now there is an official version of ZX81’s CPC emulator for the Wiz.

  • bug fix in CRTC emulation (games such as Prehistorik II just couldn’t be launched)

Zx81 released a new version of his Caprice32 based CPC emulator for the PSP (Playstation Portable). As always you can download the newest version from his weblog.

What’s new in version 1.5.1 :

  • IRDA Joystick box support
  • Add “IRDA joystick” device support for both DB9 Joystick and Atari Paddle
  • Add menu for IRDA joystick settings and keys mapping
  • Add option to choose between IRDA devices (keyboard such as Targus or joystick using Buzz device)

Roland, the CPC emulator, has a new homepage. You can now find it on http://www.rolandemu.de (for the english version, click on the flag on the upper right).

Roland is a rewrite of the Caprice emulator written by Fred Klaus. It is open source and available for Linux and Windows. A lot of additional code was added with C++ classes.
