Push’n’Pop, a demoscene related website for the Amstrad CPC, is down since christmas. It seems that they had a server crash and were unable to bring back the website, so it will be closed forever. That are very sad news, because they hosted a lot of intersting discussions in the forums, scene related interviews, news, the Push’n’Pop awards, meeting announcements and meeting reports. So thank you for your work over the last years.
The voting phase is over and 38 people voted for their favourite demos and productions in various categories. I guess that we have a big winner this year: the Breaking Baud demo by Doz / CRTC/ 3LN. Head over to Push’n’Pop and see the result by yourself and don’t forget to have a look at the demos and productions on real hardware again :-).
Like last year, Push’n’Pop creates charts of the best releases for our beloved Amstrad CPC in 2014. And – like last year – you can again participate and vote for your favourite production in the categories demo, intro, game, technical achievement, graphics and soundtrack. The votes are open till the 31st January 2015, so don’t hesitate and fill out the form at Push’n’Pop (you need to be logged in).
The Revision 2014 is over and I alreadey posted the official results and Doz’ Amstrad CPC entry in the Oldskool competition, but we also took some pictures, which we want to share with you. You can find my pictures either in the meeting gallery of this page or on the Revision party page of Push’n’Pop (only available for registered users). Toms also wrote a nice meeting report, so be sure to check it, too.
Thanks to all the participants for such a great and well-organised party. Unfortunately it was too short to speak with everybody, but hopefully we see us next year again :).
Push’n’Pop published an article about the community Amstrad CPC projects for 2014 and 2015. You will find a lot of software here and see that the Amstrad CPC users are still active :). There are some new demos on the way, there are some games in production and you can expect some new hardware, too. Toms and Hicks try to keep the list up to date, so if your project is missing, you should write them and change that.
You can find the list in the articles section of Push’n’Pop.
