The 18th XzentriX meeting, a retro-computing party for old computers and game consoles, will take place from 04.-06.09.2015 in Seeshaupt / Germany. Like every year you can expect that a lot of german Amstrad CPC / Schneider CPC users will visit the party. If you have time, don’t miss it! You can find more information on the XzentriX homepage and see some photos in the meeting gallery of my page. In old tradition we will also have a Whacky Wit competition on Saturday again…
The 17th XzentriX meeting, a retro-computing party for old computers and game consoles, will take place from 12.-14.09.2013 in Seeshaupt / Germany. Like every year you can expect that a lot of german Amstrad CPC / Schneider CPC users will visit the party. If you have time, don’t miss it! You can find more information on the XzentriX homepage and see some photos in the meeting gallery of my page. I guess, we will see a Whacky Wit competition again this year…
Some weeks ago, Norecess asked for informations about the state of the german CPC scene and I tried to gave him a brief overview about who is active and still using his CPC here in germany. He also asked Arnoldemu (Kevin Thacker) about the UK scene and Optimus about the greek scene and wrote about the canadian and french CPC scene, too. Well, you can now have a look at the result on his website :-).
P.S.: If I missed to mention you or just gave the wrong information –> hit the contact button and blame me for that ;-)!
The CPC Klassentreffen is over now so it’s time to summarize the last day…
Blackbird needed to fix his floppy drive (aehm… I don’t remember the problem, but it wasn’t the drive belt). In the background you see Ythcal and Odin, in the middle Blackbird and Tolkin and in the front Nilquader and Kangaroo.
Kangaroo didn’t forget to fetch his painted CPC6128 Plus to the meeting, of course. Have a look at the module on the left :-)!
BSC presented his new megademo (with sourcecode!!!!)…
…but he had problems with the compiler, so he won’t release it ;-).
Well, after all, we need some sleep and our special party member showed, how we can do that.
Meeting is over, so pack your stuff up for the next CPC meeting.
Thanks to Brainblaster and Kangaroo for the organization of the meeting. If you are interested in CPC Klassentreffen mugs or T-Shirts you can mail Kangaroo Musique or Brainblaster, because there are still some left.
You will find all photos of the CPC Klassentreffen soon in the meeting gallery.
Day 2 is over and so we come to the final day of the meeting here in Erlangen. Yesterday was – as always – Bergkirchweih time. You can see more in the pictures, which I took.
Kangaroo is playing music on a Nintendo DS with Korg DS-10. Ythcal, Gert Genial, Odin, Face Hugger and Nurgle have the opportunity to listen to him ;-).
No meeting without hardware defect. CPC-Mike’s monitor decided to send smoke to the people and died during the meeting. Nilquader, Dr.Zed and Face Hugger opened the monitor and had a look at it. You can see Villain in the background who doesn’t care about that (only on his ranking in the football manager).
Last bur not least we went to the Bergkirchweih to drink a beer or two…
…we also took a before and after photo of Gert Genial. Left: Before we went to the Berkirchweih. Right: After some beers ;-).
