ESP Soft released a new action adventure game for the Amstrad CPC. In the game you play the ex-soldier J.C. Gamber, whose mission is to fight the three gang bosses who control the district in which you live. On your way to the bosses, you have to fight gangsters who are armed with knives and guns.

The voting phase is over and 34 people voted for their favourite demos and productions in various categories. I guess, we saw some great productions during 2013 and I am sure that the results reflect the common reception. Head over to Push’n’Pop and see the result by yourself and don’t forget to have a look at the demos and productions on real hardware again :-).

After 26 years Bruce Abbott finished his port of the Sinclair Spectrum assembler CHAMP for the Amstrad CPC. CHAMP is an assembler, debugger and monitor, which was useable for the Commodore 64, Sinclair Spectrum and BBC micro. He also enhanced the assembler with some interesting features:
- ROM resident for smaller memory footprint, faster loading and protection from corruption
- Source code checked for corruption after quitting and re-entering the assembler
- Accesses up to 512K RAM. Assembler can create object code in expanded memory. Debugger can read from one bank and write to another, load/save files to/from expansion RAM etc.
- Debugger can read upper ROMs
- Execute RSX commands from within the debugger
- Faster scrolling of text in assembler, some other speedups
- Automatic conversion of keywords from lower case to upper case
- Uses left-hand side of Mode 2 screen. Right-hand side is available for displaying system messages or user program output
- Right-hand window is also used to display Help text on startup

Well, I am little late this year, but: Goodbye 2013, hello 2014! We had some nice releases for the Amstrad CPC in 2013, so the demoscene site Push’n’Pop wants to create the charts of the best games, demos, etc. And this is the point where you can help: Go to Push’n’Pop and fill in the form to vote for your favourite CPC software in 2013. You can vote until the 31. January.
